There are so many designs, how I do know what to choose?
When choosing an accessory connection, it is important to know what you are drawing from the battery. Every individual socket will have a differing amperage rating (how much power the dc socket can handle) in order to run appliances.
The most common dc socket on the market today is still the Cigarette socket. This socket is common among 12 v fridges, 12 Volt lighting, 12 Volt TV's and other lower draw appliances.
On the other hand, the higher draw appliances are better suited to an Anderson connector. The most common Anderson connector used in vehicle / camping installations are 50 Amp Anderson connectors. These are common connections for fridges, Inverters, air compressors and other heavier draw appliances.
