Lithium LiFePO4 Battery Power - 2 x 150 AH
This 12V 150Ah LiFePO4 replacement battery is compatible in size with traditional 150Ah SLA batteries, but with all the benefits of cutting-edge lithium technology. LiFePO4 batteries offer longer service life than traditional lead acid batteries, plus weigh less than HALF as much as SLA batteries. LiFePO4 also provide more usable life per cycle, allowing for longer run times by holding a higher voltage until capacity is almost exhausted. These batteries will also maintain 80-90% charge when in storage - far higher than their lead acid counterparts. The latest generation in maintenance free batteries is here!
Each battery is fitted with an internal battery management system to provide safe charging and discharging at all times. This system provides internal short circuit, over temperature and under/over voltage cut off. Can be wired in series and/or parallel. Regardless of your wiring configuration it is technically best to individually charge each battery to 100% capacity using the same charger before connecting them. This ensures all batteries are at the same terminal voltage and will charge/discharge evenly.
Factory supplied at 30% charge for safety compliance. Must be charged fully before use.
Excessive temperatures over 65ºC can effect the ABS housing. Need to be well ventilated in warm conditions. Not for use in engine bays.
Features
- Internal battery management system for safe charging and discharging.
- Drop in replacement for standard lead acid 150Ah batteries
- Half the weight of traditional lead acid batteries.
- Less discharge when in storage compared with traditional lead acid batteries.
- Longer service life compared to lead acid.
- Longer run time compared to lead acid.

The past 10-15 years has seen rapid improvements in the field of solar technology. Panels that were the “most efficient” on the market even 5 years ago are not necessarily the most efficient today.
There are three main types of panels available in today’s market:
Amorphous – These cells are used in calculators, watches, toys and small solar applications. Amorphous cells tend to work very well in levels of low light; however the surface area of the panel needs to be much greater in order to produce even a small amount of power. Some amorphous cells are flexible but are much larger in size per watt than mono crystalline panels. Amorphous panels claim to be more shade tolerant, however the size of the panel required to produce anything of real power renders the use of this type of panel impractical in the Caravan, camping and off-road industry.
Poly-crystalline – These panels were very commonly used in the Caravan, camping and off – road industry, most installations nowadays use the Mono crystalline panels. Polycrystalline panels use a light reflective crystal which tends to attract the light from sharper angles. This is a great feature for fixed mounted panels; however they also have flaws when compared against the Mono crystalline panels. Polycrystalline panels work fantastic in areas of high light such as the northern and western parts of Australia (high Western Australia, NT and QLD). However, the efficiency of a polycrystalline panel is reduced quite significantly when used in overcast or low light locations such as the lower parts of Australia or Eastern Australia.
Mono crystalline – The most popular type of panel used in today’s market due to its high tolerance to low light and overcast conditions. This type of panel was not as popular 10 years ago due to cost factors, however, as manufacturing cost for this panel has reduced, the Mono crystalline panels have by far taken the lead as the most “ALL ROUNDED” panel used in the off – road industry.
Mono crystalline panels make for fantastic panels for the off-road / portable power usage due to the all rounded efficiency with all levels of light.
Home of 12 Volt offer a full range of fixed and portable Mono-crystalline Solar Panels.
All panels sold by Home of 12 Volt are made with highest quality A - grade silicon cells and come with a full 20-25 year performance warranty and 10 year structural warranty.
Victron Bluetooth Solar Regulator - MPPT100/30
Victron SmartSolar 100 VOC, 30 Amp MPPT solar panel charge controller for 12V and 24V battery systems (including Lithium) with Bluetooth.
Suits Battery: 12/24V
MPPT 100/30 & 100/50
MPPT controllers operate solar panels at their Maximum Power Point improving efficiency up to 30% by adjusting input voltage to harvest the maximum power from the solar panels. It then manages this power to supply the varying voltage requirement of the battery plus load.
The MPPT senses when to adjust the output that it is being sent to the battery and will shut down for a few microseconds, calculate and make relevant adjustments. The principle of MPPT is to extract the maximum possible power from a solar panel by setting the most efficient combination of voltage and current - maximum power point.
The Victron MPPT SmartSolar support Advanced Maximum Power Point Detection. Unlike the conventional MPPTs which tend to lock to a local MPP when shady conditions occur, [which may not be the optimum MPP], Advance Maximum Power Point Detection will harvest maximin energy by locking to the optimum MPP.
Internal temperature sensor provides additional electronic protection
- Over-temperature protection and power derating when temperature is high.
- PV short circuit and PV reverse polarity protection.
- PV reverse current protection.
Other features:
- With no cooling fan the maximum efficiency exceeds 98%.
- Flexible charge algorithm provides functionality for fully programmable charge algorithm, and eight preprogrammed algorithms, selectable with a rotary switch
Built-in Bluetooth along with the VictronConnect App provides easy access to the extensive range of functions available on your solar charge controller such as:
