I find it really easy to use and having a heat source from the top and bottom as it has 2 x10 amp heating units in it. This makes it quicker to heat up and you can make the top bake off that crust really well. Also having the vent system on the sides of the removable tray means what you are cooking does not steam the pies up ie the pastry if you finish with top element as you can use either both or top or just the bottom. Have used it on pasties, pies and slow cook roasts. I usually cook as I drive and use oven bags for the roasts and do the potatoes and pumpkin at the same time. good investment wished I had it when I was doing tours in my OKA 4x4 Tour Bus, now retired and use it daily whilst on the road, have dinner ready when I park or lunch. Good to cook in or reheat as I also freeze food and defrost it and put it in as needed easier to preheat for 20 or so minutes, with the 2 hour timer and the heat heat settings on it the unit is really useable for many different types of cooking. I have had mine for some 12 months
