Mono crystalline panels make for fantastic portable panels due to the all rounded efficiency with all levels of light, working extremely well in areas of high light and even maintaining a fantastic output in low light or overcast conditions.
The 220 watt Split fold has the ability to harness up to 14+ Amps per hour (with an average output of 13+ Amps)
This neat design consists of 2 x 110 watt panels hinged together, so when folded the glass panels will fold in facing one another, adding extra protection to the panel. Once folded, the panel can slide straight into the provided carry bag, allowing for easy transport.
Portable panels can allow the user to harness up to a massive 12 hours of sunlight a day (depending on your location and the time of the year).
This means that the 220 watt Split fold panel CAN produce up to a massive 140+ Amps per day!
The 220 watt Split fold panel would allow the user to continuously keep up with the draw of an 150Lt compressor type fridge plus more (when combined with approx a 100 Ah+ battery).
The input power of a portable panel is largely dependent on the user of the panel.
Keep in mind that if like your late mornings and you do not put your panel in the sun until the afternoon, you may need to consider a larger panel to compensate for the time you would miss in the mornings.
Every Blue Apple panel is fitted with diode protection, eliminating the chance for the solar cells to rob power from one another when in the shade. The diode protection will also eliminate any chance of power being robbed from the batteries at night.
Each panel is equipped with its own set of heavy duty anodized aluminium legs which can be adjusted to allow the panel to sit at any angle allowing for optimum performance to be achieved. At the bottom of each aluminium leg there are rubber feet fitted which will prevent the panel from slipping on smooth surfaces.
The 220 watt Split fold panel is fitted with an un-regulated Anderson connector. This connection is linked directly to the panels and will allow the connection of either an IN LINE solar regulator to be used, or a DC Battery Charger.

Great panels and cables but not currently lithium compatible - I spoke to home of 12v over the phone before purchasing this package to check if I could use it with LifePO4. I was told these were shipped with an inline solar regulator and only the display models included an older built in regulator for AGM. When I went ahead and purchased it I sent an inquiry through the internal contact form explaining that I needed the lithium compatible regulator. The panel was posted promptly and sent express as ordered. However it arrived without the in-line lithium compatible regulator regardless. I contacted home of 12 volt who offered a discount on a new regulator, but I chose to look into alternatives such as a DC DC charger. I was told the other sizes of panel are currently shipped with the in line regulator for lithium. Outside this experience the panels are very well made and have an unmatched warranty. Much sturdier and smaller than the competing XTM models watt for watt. The canvas bag is heavy duty and well made. I recommend supporting home Australian business and aside from the mix up their customer service is good.
