The VSR connects and disconnects the auxiliary and the starter according to the current charge level while the engine is running, when the starter reaches 13.2 volts, the VSR will start after 15 seconds and the LED light will illuminate. This means that both batteries are connected and the system is running. Once the vehicle system is turned the two batteries will be disconnected when 12.8 volts is reached after another 15 seconds, allowing your main to restart safely.
